DRONE PILOT CERTIFICATION TEST PREPARATION (16 Hours) TC/RC/IS
PURPOSE: The Federal Aviation Administration requires that commercial or public safety operators of Small Unmanned
Aircraft Systems (sUAS) pass a certification exam based on their Part 107 regulations. The purpose of this course is to
provide the student with the information needed to challenge that exam and obtain their remote pilot certificate.
CONTENT: The courses consists of the information covered in the FAA Part 107 certification exam including regulations,
safety, weather, airspace rules, airport operations, and basic flight principles. This course does not include the exam. The
exam must be taken at an approved FAA testing facility for an additional fee.
AUDIENCE: All fire service and government agency personnel.
PREREQUISITES: None

DRONE PILOT QUALIFICATION (16 Hours) TC/IS
PURPOSE: This course is to provide drone pilots with the required skills to safely operate and maintain their aircraft.
CONTENT: This course will cover the safe operation of drones as well as basic maintenance. Students will be provided
with sample policies, checklists, and log entries during the lecture portion. There will be practical evolutions including basic
flight maneuvers and training missions.
AUDIENCE: All fire service and government agency personnel.
PREREQUISITES: FAA Part 107 Pilot Certification
