The Fire School has available, but not open scheduling for:

Pearson National Registry of Emergency Medical Technician Testing

In 2020, the Delaware State Fire School became an approved PearsonVue Testing Center for the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians certification test.

The Fire School is a “Closed Site”, meaning that tests can not be scheduled through the NREMT website and must be scheduled through the Fire School.

Candidates from Fire School Programs may schedule testing upon successful completion of Practical (Psychomotor) Skills testing.

At this time, outside agencies must contact Senior Instructor Patricia Fox to receive permission to take the test on-site and arrange for scheduling.

Candidates must make an account on NREMT.org.

DSFS Candidates who successfully complete the Psychomotor Testing will be given a voucher to “purchase” an attempt to test through NREMT. Be sure to select that you are testing at the training center if you intend to test at our site in Dover. Once your “purchase” is complete, DO NOT move to the scheduling process. You will schedule the test as directed by the Fire School staff at the end of class.

Retests by DSFS Candidates will be responsible for the costs of any other retests after the first attempt if needed. The Fire School DOES NOT process any payment for testing.

Outside NREMT Candidates must contact Senior Instructor Patricia Fox to verify approval
